During 2020 and 2021, I managed video production for two virtual commencements. Creating a show that celebrated student achievement in the same manner as a in-person event required a great deal of planning and collaboration. On the video side, all footage filmed on-site with a priority put on safety of those in-front of the camera. Footage that was captured virtually was done so with personal phones, directed virtually over Zoom. With a high volume of graphics needed, an essential graphic template was created early on. This allowed me to create each graduates personalized graphic in under 30 seconds. An added benefit of the mogrt format, is that the file could easily be modified by others on my team without knowing After Effects and just a basic understanding of Premiere.
